Information

The ADA Council on Communications joins with the American Association of Dental Editors (AADE) to present the annual Dental Editor Service Award. This award recognizes continuous service as an editor of a tripartite constituent and/or component publication, including fulfillment of all appropriate responsibilities and duties in five-year increments (beginning with the 10th year) as of the date of hire. Editors marking their 10-, 15-, or 20- (or more) year anniversary this year would qualify.

Recognition

Recipients will receive a certificate at the AADE Annual Conference, which is annually held in conjunction with the ADA Annual Session. Notice of the recipients will be made in appropriate ADA publications and the AADE Editors Newsletter.

Eligibility

All editors (including executive, associate, managing and contributing editors of tripartite dental societies or American Student Dental Association publications) are eligible.

Entry Requirements

The nominee’s name, date of appointment or hire, the name of the nominee’s dental society and the title of the publication edited by the nominee must be provided in a letter on society letterhead stationery signed by the society’s president and executive director to attest to the validity of the required information. Editors may self-nominate, with the required information and signatures. Nominators must provide their name, mailing address and telephone number, and the name and address of the nominee.

Entry Submission, Deadline

The deadline for submissions is Friday, June 11, 2010.
