American Association of Dental Editors & Journalists


The American Association for Dental Editors & Journalists (AADEJ) was chartered in 1931 and is composed of dedicated people specifically interested in improving communication within the dental profession and in elevating the standards of dental journalism. The organization is committed to the establishment and encouragement of responsible editorial policy.

Announcing the 2014 ADA AADEJ Editorial Awards

The ADA and the American Association of Dental Editors & Journalists (AADEJ) invite dental editors to apply for the Distinguished Dental Editor Award, which recognizes Constituent and Component society editors who have brought exceptional credit to the dental profession through the production of high-quality publications and superior leadership.  Nominations are also being accepted for the Dental Editor Service Award, recognizing continuous service of an editor of a Constituent or Component publication. The entry submission deadline for both awards is Monday, July 7, and winners will be recognized at the AADEJ Annual Conference on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 in San Antonio, TX.

The AADEJ encourages its members to partake in continuing education courses on the topic of dental editing by offering an Annual Conference each year and the Certified Dental Editor (CDE) certification.
